Entry requirements

HNC Accounting (SCQF Level 7). A place on the course is subject to interview.

Attendance/Duration

1 year full-time.

Progression

Direct links to the BA Accounting (SCQF Level 9) at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and Glasgow Caledonian University. Career prospects: employment in banking, finance and accountancy.

Accountants are required to study for professional ACCA or CIMA Certified Chartered Accountant status through professional exams and work experience. Those with an HND may be exempt from certain exams, depending on the specific area of accounting they would like to train in.
