Units include:
• Tree Propagation
• Planting
• Maintenance
• Felling
• Chainsaw Use and Maintenance
• Tree Identification.
The course also includes training and preparation for National Proficiency Testing Council certificate of competence in chainsaw and relative use to include CS30, CS31, CS38 and CS39.
Applicants must be 18 years or over, capable of working at height and able to demonstrate an awareness of a health and safety culture. Applicants must be able to cope with the physical demands of the course. A place on the course is subject to interview.
1 year full-time.
HN or equivalent level courses. Career prospects: employment opportunities as an Arboriculturist or Tree Surgeon.
