This course is predominantly at Higher Level and units include:
• Geography: Human Environments and Environmental Interactions
• History: British, European and World
• Psychology: Investigating Behaviour
• Sociology: Understanding Human Society
• Social Philosophy
• Social Issues in the UK
• Managing Environmental Resources
• English: Literary Study and Individual Presentation
• ICT
• Numeracy.
Four Standard Grades or four Intermediate 1/2 qualifications (internal units considered) or successful completion of Access to Social Science (SCQF Level 5) course. Applications are also invited from those seeking to return to education displaying an interest in social science. A place on the course is subject to interview.
1 year full-time.
Progression to HNC/D Social Science (SCQF Level 7/8) or other HNC/D courses.
