Units include: Psychology, Sociology, Healthy Eating in a Care Setting, Prevention of Infection, Values and Principles, Core Skills including Communication, Numeracy and IT, Option to complete Health and Safety external project.
This course is open to those who have studied at Standard Grade (general) and/or Intermediate 1, who have appropriate life skills and experience or who have successfully completed a course at Intermediate 1. Adult returners who do not have appropriate qualifications but who may have experience, maturity or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis. Acceptance to this course is subject to interview.

Progression
Students may progress to study NC Pre-Nursing before proceeding to HNC Health Care. Career opportunities include Support Worker or Care Assistants in health care environment.
