A Technical Support qualification is suitable for those seeking recognition for their competence in a range of technical support roles. There are four defined pathways; Computer Control Programming, Technical Services, Quality Control and Non-Destructive Testing. The candidate must complete three mandatory units and optional units dependent on which pathway is chosen.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for those seeking a Technical Support qualification. To achieve this award the candidate must be involved in a relevant role such as Quality Controller/Inspector, Tester or Contract Engineer. They will have a high level of technical skill and knowledge in these activities. Their role will allow them the opportunity to gather sufficient evidence to meet the unit requirements for the qualification.
Benefits
This qualification can help to improve career development/promotion within the candidate's existing workplace in either a supervisory/managerial role or a move into the Oil and Gas industry in roles such as Quality Inspector, Anti Corrosion Engineer or Pipeline Inspector.
