Fabrication and Welding Engineering - SVQ Level 2

Content
The candidate's competence in the job will be assessed by a qualified assessor. The candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their knowledge and practical skills in the job. The candidate will receive help and support on how to develop this from the assessor. The qualification is comprised of individual assessment units chosen to meet the vocational award, which is agreed at the outset with the candidate and their employer.

Entry Requirements
In order to achieve this qualification, the candidate must be employed, have their employer's support to do it, have some practical skills and knowledge or is receiving training on the job. The candidate will be employed in a fabrication and welding engineering environment and will be able to demonstrate safe working practice.

Benefits
On completion the candidate will be awarded the Scottish Vocational Qualification in Fabrication and Welding - Level 2.
