In order to achieve this qualification, the candidate will be assessed in their workplace by a qualified and competent assessor. The assessor will support the candidate to generate a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates their knowledge and practical skills. A range of methods will be used such as observations, written and photography case studies and questions. This qualification comprises of four mandatory units plus five optional units.
Entry Requirements
The candidate will be working within a hairdressing environment and be expected to already have experience and knowledge of: health and safety, promoting services and products to clients, cut and colour hair using a variety of techniques. The candidate will be able to work with minimum supervision and have a degree of responsibility in the decision making process.
Benefits
On completion the candidate will be awarded the Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Hairdressing.
