This qualification comprises of four mandatory units plus five optional units from a choice of ten job specific units such as:
• Contribute to the Financial Effectiveness of the Business
• Creatively Cut Hair using a Combination of Techniques
• Colour Hair using a Variety of Techniques
• Promote Additional Services or Products to Clients.
The assessor will support the candidate to generate a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates their knowledge and practical skills. A range of methods will be used such as observations, written and photographic case studies and questions.
Entry Requirements
The candidate will be working within a hairdressing environment and be expected to already have experience and knowledge of: health and safety, promoting services and products to clients, and cutting and colouring hair using a variety of techniques. The candidate will be able to work with minimum supervision and have a degree of responsibility in the decision making process.
