Content
This qualification comprises of four mandatory and two optional units taken from a choice of 27 job specific units such as:
• Support Individuals in Their Daily Living
• Help Individuals to Maintain Mobility
• Contribute to Moving and Handling Individuals
• Protect Yourself from Risk of Violence at Work.
The assessor will support the candidate to generate a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates their knowledge and practical skills. A range of methods will be used such as observation, written reflective account and questions.
Entry Requirements
The candidate should be employed within the care industry and have some knowledge and experience in that environment including supporting health and safety of themselves and others, supporting individuals with their daily living, awareness of legislation and record keeping.
Benefits
On completion, the candidate can be registered with (Scottish Social Services Council) SSSC as a Support Worker. The candidate can progress to Level 3.
