Content
In order to achieve this qualification the candidate will be assessed in their workplace by a qualified and competent assessor. The assessor will support the candidate to generate a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates their knowledge and practical skills. A range of methods will be used such as observation, written reflective account and questions. This qualification comprises of four mandatory and two optional units (tailored to suit individual requirements).
Entry Requirements
The candidate should be employed within a care environment and have some knowledge and experience in the care environment including supporting health and safety of yourself and individuals, supporting individuals with their daily living and all aspects of care, and awareness of legislation and record keeping.
Benefits
On completion the candidate will be awarded the Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 2 in Care. At Level 2 the candidate can be registered with SSSC as support workers.
