Kilmarnock College Celebrates Success

Kilmarnock College hosted a special dinner last week thanking partners and stakeholders for helping to achieve its recent glowing report from Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIe).

Over thirty guests attended the event which was held to celebrate the success and achievements of Kilmarnock College during the past year, including receiving four confidence statements from HMIe. Celebration of Success  17 March 2010

College Principal, Heather Dunk, was joined by the Board of Management and Senior Management Team and a number of stakeholders including representatives from North and East Ayrshire Councils, the University of the West of Scotland, and Principals from neighbouring colleges, to celebrate its success and discuss how to keep the College on its successful path.

Catering and first class service was provided on the night by Kilmarnock College hospitality students under the supervision of their lecturers.

Heather Dunk, Principal of Kilmarnock College, said: “Kilmarnock College has undergone substantial change and this event was held to celebrate our partnerships and the support we have received from a range of individuals and organisations over the last 18 months.  Our recent, extremely positive HMIe report noted our partnerships as a key strength and it was wonderful to recognise the contribution others have made to this success.”
