Over the past year, S3 and S4 pupils from schools across East Ayrshire have studied a range of courses at Kilmarnock College including Construction, Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Painting and Decorating, Hairdressing, Childcare and Healthy Living. The recent ceremony congratulated pupils for completing their courses. Heather Dunk, Principal of Kilmarnock College, presented certificates to pupils from Kilmarnock Academy, James Hamilton Academy, Loudoun Academy, Park School and St Joseph's Academy.

Richard McPike, Service Leader for Widening Access and Participation at Kilmarnock College, added: "The Schools Programme at Kilmarnock College has been growing stronger each year, and we are delighted to hold our third Celebration of Success event, giving our young people a platform to receive recognition for their hard work and effort at college. Our partnership with East Ayrshire schools gives pupils the chance to broaden their experience through suitable vocational classes. We will continue to offer an extensive range of courses next session, which will give pupils more opportunities to succeed at school and college".

Heather Dunk commented: "Our Schools Programme, delivered in partnership with East Ayrshire Council, helps young people make an informed decision about future careers and also gives pupils the opportunity to study vocational areas of interest in addition to their Standard Grades. The Celebration of Success event was a great opportunity for us to bring all five East Ayrshire schools together and to recognise the achievements of staff and pupils."
