Mindstore inspire Kilmarnock students in first ever college visit

Students were enthused after a personal development session with a trainer from the world renowned MindStore training programme in their first ever college visit.

Students from the College were invited to attend two engaging seminars presented by special guest and motivational speaker, Alan Brodie who specialises in performance excellence and personal development training.

The lucky college students - who were the first in Scotland to be offered this fantastic opportunity - were given a personal insight into the tools and mind techniques which the MindStore training programmes adopts when promoting extraordinary personal performance.

The bespoke training sessions - which are based around five fundamental characteristics - aim to encourage excellence in individual and team performance which will aid students in their future careers and studies. The programme - which will help students adopt a positive, mental attitude - aims to encourage a ‘can do' approach and commitment to achieve goals and targets.

Almost half a million people have embraced the MindStore approach which has been presented throughout the UK and internationally.

Alan Brodie, Associate Trainer at MindStore, said; "The enthusiasm and work ethos at Kilmarnock College are truly inspirational.

"I visited the College a few months back and the students really touched my heart. "I believe we have many budding entrepreneurs among the students of Kilmarnock College and hopefully the training programme will help encourage the students to believe in themselves also."

In many cases, the key to success is self-belief and confidence - something which is evident in the teaching at Kilmarnock College - which is why I chose Kilmarnock for my first ever college visit. I felt the students could truly benefit from a motivational speaker to encourage them to continue working hard and striving to achieve their goals.

Fiona Walterson, Inclusive Learning Assistant at Kilmarnock College said; "I contacted MindStore after reading about Jack Black and the work that he does.

"I'm always looking for inspirational speakers for the College to help keep the students motivated. Breaking down barriers and encouraging students to know that they can succeed gives them the momentum to move forward."

"I was absolutely delighted Alan agreed to come to the College and the feedback from the students was extremely positive."
