Hard-working students from Kilmarnock College's Further Education courses were formally recognised for their achievements at a prestigious awards ceremony held in the Park Hotel, Kilmarnock.

Sixty seven students were invited to attend a glittering awards ceremony which celebrated the accomplishments of Further Education students throughout the academic year.
College staff were asked to nominate individual students who had displayed excellence in their chosen subject area. Those who shone throughout the college year were presented with an ‘Excellence' award and a certificate of achievement.
The awards ceremony - sponsored by local businesses and employers - is the first ceremony of its kind for Kilmarnock College. Event sponsors were Dumfries House, Bellford Mill, East Ayrshire Volunteer, Centre, SWAP, A B Factors, Ampcontrol UK Limited, A&I Accessories, Kennametal and Klin Group, and representatives from these organisations attended the ceremony along with friends and family members of the students being honoured.
Heather Dunk, Principal at Kilmarnock College, said: "The Excellence Awards provide a fabulous occasion for Kilmarnock College to recognise and celebrate the successes of our Further Education students.
"The evening was a great success and a wonderful way to honour the achievements of the students. I would like to thank the local employers who have sponsored the awards and who have come along to support the celebrations."
