Equality and Diversity Awareness

Content
This course is designed to provide an overview of Equality and Diversity, what it means and current legislation surrounding it. Content includes: legislation, the six strands (disability, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion) and applying equality and diversity in the workplace. A variety of teaching methods will be used including videos, newspapers, internet, Information and Communication Technologies, music, guest speakers and personal testimonies.

There are no formal entry requirements.

Benefits
This course will provide an understanding of Equality and Diversity legislation and how this is applicable to the workplace. By attending this course the candidate will understand the legislation and how this affects their role and responsibilities.
