The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the role of the Human Resource function within organisations. Content includes: the role and function of the Human Resource department, how to develop effective procedures for the maintenance of Human Resource records and how to evaluate the effectiveness of the Human Resource department within an organisation.

On completion the candidate will be able to analyse the role and effectiveness of the Human Resource function within an organisation. The course will also help to develop an understanding of the background to the development of the discipline of Human Resource Management to assist the candidate to go on to further study.
