National Certificate for Security Guards (Scotland)

Content
This course is certificated by BIIAB Scotland - the leading awarding body of qualifications for the licensed retail sector. BIIAB and City and Guilds have worked together to develop this award and it is nationally recognised by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) as an appropriate qualification for those seeking a licence to practice.

Unit 1 - Day 1 WPSI (Working in the private security industry)
Unit 2 - Day 2 WSO (Working as a security officer)
Unit 3 - Day 3 CMPSI (Conflict management for the private security industry)

Each Unit will have a multiple choice examination.
All units must be passed to gain the required overarching qualification that allows SIA license application.

Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a certificate which is jointly awarded by BIIAB Scotland and SQA. The qualification will be recognised by the SIA when the candidate applies for a licence.   This Training Course allows successful candidates to apply for a SIA license, allowing them to work in the private security industry as Security Guards.
