Employer Recruitment Incentive
Businesses can get up to £2,000 when they employ a young apprentice, take on individuals who have gone through one of SDS's pre-employment programmes, or have experienced some barriers to work in the past.
Flexible Training Opportunities
Flexible Training Opportunities, a funded programme through Skills Development Scotland (SDS) gives Scottish businesses with under 150 employees the opportunity to apply for up to £5,000.00 towards employee training costs.

Adopt an Apprentice
Adopt an Apprentice and not only will your business benefit from a skilled trainee, but you will receive a £2000.00 incentive. This incentive will help cover wage and recruitment costs of taking on a Modern Apprentice who has been made redundant from another employer.
This is for any modern apprentice that has been made redundant from 10 June 2009 and has taken up an apprenticeship with another employer. They need to be able to prove that they were made redundant either by P45, notification of redundancy, or an official letter from the previous employer.
We have been made aware that the Adopt an Apprentice Scheme has been extended till 31 March 2012.

West of Scotland Loan Fund (WSLF)
WSLF is a unique consortium of twelve West of Scotland Local Authorities working together to provide loan finance to new and existing small to medium sized enterprises within the west of Scotland.
The Lennox Partnership
The Lennox Partnership is committed to helping local organisations develop and expand their services and workforces. To achieve this, the organisation offers a range of services to local organisations. This includes financial assistance and assistance with business planning and fund-raising.
Other funding may be available to support courses such as SVQs and Modern Apprenticeships.
